“My immediate superior Mr. Chan and I share a good working relationship; whereby he is more like a friend to me and being very approachable and supportive. Whenever, I face ‘roadblocks’ at work, he is always there to motivate me and extend possible solutions to overcome them confidently. I truly believe that having a good work-relationship with your direct superior is also key to being happy at work.”

Back in year 2014, I made my first trip to Singapore to study English Language upon graduating in Chemical Engineering from one of the local Universities in South Korea. After completing my course, I challenged myself to pursue a career opportunity related to a Sales role in Singapore. Fortunately, I was successfully offered a Sales role in Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific.  Thereafter, Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific and Singapore became my second home for the past five years till date and since then I have never looked back.

I genuinely enjoy my current work as I have extensive travel opportunities to meet our customers and business partners. Part of my job scope greatly involves collaborative and teamwork efforts to achieve our sales targets. I believe the key factor in having excellent team work encompasses open communication and mutual respect for one another; which is one of the reasons that I am able to stay connected with Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific since day one.

I am also grateful that the company provides company transportation on a to-and-fro basis; which is essential for me due to my current residential location. Over the years, I am thankful  that the company continue to listen to employees’ voices and care about our well-being too. One of the workstyle transformation was the removal of uniform-style to smart casual wear for non-operations staffs and office members. In terms of work-life balance, the company has also implemented flexi-work arrangements with shorter working hours on Fridays termed as our ‘Blue Sky Friday’, so as for us employees to have the opportunity to end work earlier and be able to spend more quality time with our loved ones.
