“Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific over the years have implemented policies to promote work-life balance, namely Flexi-Work arrangements and telecommuting options whereby employees could have the option to work-from-home on certain days. By taking care of the well-being of employees, it shows that Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific truly values the importance of maintaining a work-life balance.”

My first job experience started off at a Japanese electronics MNC. Unfortunately, the company was underperforming and my role was made redundant after working there for about six months. Soon after, a friend of mine who was working at Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific recommended me to try for a position related to computer and electronics engineering – a relevant field of my educational background. The role required me to travel quite often and travelling overseas was one of my favourable considerations and I was successfully recruited to join Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific in year 1998.

Over the years, travelling to Korea, Japan and China expanded my learning horizons during my course of work. For the first 15 years, I spent almost 90% of my time travelling and I was also seconded to other overseas business units. In year 2004, I was stationed in China for about two years. Thereafter, I continued travelling extensively to China for work matters till about 2012 when our business focused more into the APMEA region. My overseas working experiences also provided me the opportunity to co-work with overseas Panasonic companies mainly from Japan and US. I am also grateful for being mentored by respectable superiors whom are extremely approachable that I can always have an open and honest conversation with them anytime.

Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific over the years has implemented policies to promote work-life balance, namely Flexi-Work arrangements and telecommuting options whereby employees could have the option to work-from-home on certain days. By taking care of the well-being of employees, it shows that Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific truly values the importance of maintaining a work-life balance.

Currently Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific is undergoing a digital transformational journey and I believe this is very timely for the company. Industry 4.0 is the current trend of automation and data exchange towards advanced manufacturing technologies and many companies are gearing towards that and exploring IOT based solutions for their businesses. We also have embarked on a  Workstyle Transformation project which is another meaningful project which we review and streamline our current work processes gearing towards a digitization approach. In turn, we aim to enhance our work productivity through a smarter way of working!
