Before joining Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific, I was working in the banking sector under Customer Service for 4 years. I was looking out for a switch in career as over time, my job required me to perform shift work. After taking a short break, I embarked on my second career under the Human Resources Department at Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific in 2008. Human Resources was something relatively new to me as neither my educational background in Computer Engineering nor my previous work experience in Customer Service were related to it. However, I was happy to be given the opportunity to learn while on-the-job. In addition, I’m also glad that part of my work enabled me to have the opportunity to meet and interact with people across all levels.

I initially started off by managing  the training needs for our employees. Progressively I tried to automate the workflow processes to improve the overall work productivity. Having studied Japanese language before, I was glad to have the opportunity to go to Japan to support the Panasonic Skills Competition a few times. Such work trips helped to broaden my horizons and made my working experience in Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific a memorable one. In terms of work-life balance, Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific has improved significantly over the years with relevant policies being put in place for our employees. The management at Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific under the leadership of Mr. Yasuhiro Andrea Suzuki is very supportive and very open to new ideas and opportunities. I believe this is very important for any company as openness is essential as an avenue for employees to voice out their needs and expectations freely. Staying connected with the organization with an aligned goal and purpose is vital too. I’m glad we have that here in Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific!
